About the Company
We are seeking a skilled CDL driver to transport goods and materials safely and efficiently from one location to another. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, conducting regular vehicle maintenance, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR:
CDL License: Candidates must possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience is perferred.
Knowledge of Safety Standards: Knowledge of safety standards and practices for transportation of hazardous materials is required.
Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads, climb stairs and ladders, and handle goods with care.
Time Management: Ability to manage time efficiently and meet delivery deadlines.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
Map Reading and Navigation Skills: Must have strong map reading and navigation skills to deliver goods to the right location on time.
Mechanical Skills: Must have basic mechanical skills to conduct regular maintenance checks, inspections, and repairs on the vehicle.
Record Keeping: Must maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Compliance with Regulations: Must comply with all state and federal regulations governing the transportation of goods, including regulations governing hours of service, vehicle inspections, and documentation.
Dependability: Must be dependable, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Flexibility: Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, and holidays, depending on the needs of the business.
Clean Driving Record: A clean driving record with no history of accidents or traffic violations is essential.
Drug and Alcohol Testing: Candidates must be willing to undergo drug and alcohol testing as required by law.
Customer Service: Must be customer-focused and possess excellent customer service skills to maintain positive relationships with customers and resolve any delivery-related issues promptly.
